HAAVOCC Robotic is SDSU's elite Firefighting Robot design team. Our mission is to revolutionize the world of robotics. Comprised of seven Electrical and Computer Engineers, we at HAAVOCC take pride in presenting our premier product, HAAVOCC "THE FUTURE OF FIREFIGHTING."

HAAVOCC is a highly intelligent robot equipped with an advance environmental awareness system through a sensors array, and advanced decision making algorithm, two motors and motor drivers, and a state of the art firefighting system. This allows HAAVOCC to precisely navigate and maneuver swiftly through any environment to perform its purpose — hunt down and put out fire hazards to prevent human and infrastructure causalities. HAAVOCC's initial design was geared to outperform all robot competitors in SDSU's first firefighting robot competition, but we at HAAVOCC robotics designed a robot not only capable of competing, but a robot with versatile functions that can be upgraded and applied in real world firefighting scenarios.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION


HAAVOCC Robotics’ goal is to outperform all competitors in every aspect of the competition. Based on competition rules, swiftness and accuracy are the key to winning. The ability to precisely navigate and actively map the arena is the keystone of our design- and precision is speed.

GAME RULE'S


Using 100mL of water and any method of water deployment, each robot must autonomously navigate, locate and extinguish a candle flame in the fastest possible time while avoiding decoys.

HAAVOCC SPECIFICATIONS


SENSORS

SHARP IR proximit sensors:

  • Application to detect side obstacles and facilitate mobility in the arena.

Ultra Sonic proximity sensors:

  • Application to detect front obstacles and avoid headon collison.

Temperature sensor:

  • Aplication once fire or decoy detected use to confirm if its actual a fire.

IR Phototransistor Flame sensors:

  • Aplication to center and detect candel flame trough infrared light.

  • Dual VNH2SP30 Motor Driver Carrier
  • Continous current draw 14 amps

DC BRUSH MOTOR:

  • 70:1 Gear ratio motor
  • Max current draw 5 amps
